In 2020, despite an economic slowdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Bùi Trọng Chương scholarship fund received 1,100
USD and 192 million VND in donations (equivalent to 9,426 USD), including 155 million
VND from the family of Mr. Lê Nhựt Tân, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Tranh and their daughter
Ms. Lê Nguyễn Minh Hiền.
BTCSF increased the number of scholarships from 14 in 2019-20 to 21 in 2020-21.
The value of each scholarship also increased to 11 million VND. Mr.
Trần Hữu Phúc Tiến’s
company Vietnam Centrepoint continued to provide 21
foreign language bursaries (VND 10 million each) to 21 Bùi Trọng Chương
scholarship recipients in 2020-21.
(2) 1,100 USD from the USD operating account and 4,984.83
USD from 115 million VND in the VND operating account bring the new investment
total to 6,084.83 USD in 2020.
